   How to get to Udine

Udine is located in the centre of Friuli Venezia Giulia, in Northestern Italy, and can be reached from all directions. Below is a list of the means of transport and roads you can use to reach this nice city.

Train

Thanks to the good National Rail Connections, Udine can be reached by train from any Italian and European city through various railroad companies. If you arrive by plane, you can reach Udine by train from the stations in Treviso (90 minutes, price---) or Venice (about 2 hours, price---).

- Trenitalia - operates throughout Italy (regional and high-speed trains)

- Italo - operates throughout Italy, but offers only some routes (high-speed)

Plane

Udine does not have its own airport, but it is close enough to the airports of Treviso (117 km), Venice (121 km) and Ronchi dei Legionari (Trieste airport)(33 km). If you land at one of these airports, you can take a train, bus or car that will take you directly to Udine.

Bus

Udine can also be reached with the service of the local transport company SAF or the Venetian company ATVO, which is more used as a shuttle from Treviso or Venice (Mestre) airports.

- From Venice airport to Mestre train station: € 8,00.

- From Treviso airport to the Treviso train station: € 1,30 (city bus).

- From Ronchi dei Legionari airport to Udine: € 4,75 (bus).

By car

- From the North (i.e., Austria) via the A23 highway toward Udine or Venice

- From the West (i.e. Venice) via the A4 freeway in the direction of Trieste, then keep left until the junction at Palmanova and follow the directions for the E55/A23 freeway in the direction of Udine/Tarvisio/Austria

- From the East (i.e. Slovenia) via the A34 freeway in the direction of Venice/Udine, then via the E55/A23 freeway in the direction of Udine/Tarvisio/Austria
